What is a "Spa Pak" or Retrofit Kit?
A Spa Pak (or Spa Pack) is the brain of your hot tub. It includes the heater, the circuit board, and the housing. A Retrofit Kit is a complete bundle designed to replace your entire old system. It typically includes a new Spa Pak, a new heater, cables, and a new matching topside control panel.
My control panel looks different than the ones you sell. Will it work?
If you are buying a Retrofit Kit, you must replace your old topside panel with the new one included in the kit, as new packs often cannot "talk" to old panels. If you are just replacing a broken panel, you must match the part number exactly. Please email us a photo if you are unsure.
Can I install a Balboa system myself?
While many of our systems are designed for easy installation, working with high-voltage electricity and water requires extreme caution. We strongly recommend hiring a licensed electrician or qualified spa technician to install your new system to ensure safety and warranty compliance.
Do you stock the VS and GS series?
Yes, we carry replacement parts for the popular VS (Value Series) and GS (Global Series) systems, including the VS501Z, VS510SZ, and GS500. However, for older units, upgrading to a BP-series retrofit kit is often a more cost-effective long-term solution.
